How we worked it out

We measured the length of episode 1 of every open Candy series straight from the video files: the average is 1:09, with the shortest at 0:45 and the longest just under two minutes. An episode costs 12 tokens, and a token costs about ten cents when bought in packs. Twelve tokens over 1:09 gives the per-minute figure. Creators episodes cost 30 tokens for the same length, two and a half times as much.

Generated video is a different product with a different economy: Candy's Scene Video makes five seconds of the moment you are in for 12 tokens. Per minute that is far dearer than watching a series, which is why series are the cheap way to watch and generation is the expensive way to customise.

The other apps

Secrets AI (Moments), DreamGF and OurDream AI (coins and dreamcoins) and the rest do not publish what an episode costs in dollars before you sign up. aiAllure is the exception in a different way: most of its one public series costs nothing. We will add each app's per-minute cost here once we have priced it from inside.
